Where it all began...
My love for style didn’t start with endless shopping or a overflowing wardrobe, it started with learning how to make the most of what I had.
I grew up in a single-parent family, and while my friends were often going out and buying new clothes, that wasn’t always an option for us. Instead, I learned how to rework my wardrobe, mix pieces differently, and create lots of looks from a small number of items. Without realising it at the time, I was already building the foundations of how I style today.
Like many people, my style evolved through phases, a grunge era, a hip-hop stage, and my student years, all of which helped me experiment, express myself, and figure out what felt right. One constant throughout it all was my love of fashion as a form of self-expression.
I’ve always been a huge Madonna fan. I admired the way she used clothing not just to dress, but to empower herself and other women. Watching how she owned her style, unapologetically, made me vow early on that I would always wear what I loved, not what I felt I should wear.
Years later, I began sharing my outfits on Instagram, blogging my looks and cataloguing my wardrobe. What started as a creative outlet quickly became something more. I loved documenting my clothes, creating outfits, and seeing how different combinations could completely change how I felt. Slowly, I began to feel more confident and more empowered, and the feedback from my followers reflected that. My following was small, but the response was incredibly positive and encouraging.
Then something clicked.
I started to wonder, why shouldn’t all women feel this good in their clothes?
Why shouldn’t getting dressed every day feel empowering rather than stressful?
That curiosity led me to learn about the psychology of fashion, concepts like enclothed cognition and the Red Sneakers Effect, which explore how what we wear directly impacts our confidence, mindset, and how we show up in the world. It confirmed what I had experienced personally: style isn’t superficial, it’s powerful.
That was the turning point.
I decided to train as a personal stylist so I could help other women elevate themselves through their wardrobe, build confidence through clothes, and feel amazing in what they wear, not just for special occasions, but every single day.
Today, I combine practical styling with confidence-led guidance to help women understand their bodies, define their personal style, and create wardrobes that truly support their lives. For me, styling isn’t about trends or rules, it’s about empowerment, self-expression, and showing up as the best version of yourself.
And that’s why I do what I do.
" I help women feel confident, empowered, and effortlessly put together"
